The Lunar Eclipse–A Look Within.

image

“Sandwiched in between two new moons in Leo,” as Astrologer Pam Gregory likes to say, is this partial Lunar Eclipse occurring in the Full Moon of Aquarius at 1:10 PM CST  in the United States on August 7, 2017.

As with all Full Moons, we are asked to release what doesn’t work for us; what doesn’t serve us. Additionally, this Full Moon falls on the South Node. The South Node represents our past. While this is familiar and comfortable, growth occurs by moving forward into the unknown–the unfamiliar.

Not only are we asked to release the past, we’re encouraged to move toward the light, the Sun, and our life force in Leo. The North Node, our path to enlightenment, is also in Leo. Additionally, Mars conjunct the Leo Sun pushes us to take action.

In light of this, I looked to Tarot to illuminate my path forward. What triggers could Tarot reveal about release? What is healing from the past? In what direction should I go?

The 8 of Wands in Reverse shows me what I’m releasing with this lunar eclipse.   With this in reverse, I’m releasing chaos in my life. The past has been one schock to the system after another. Is this the Aquarian/Uranian energy I’m to move away from? Further, this full moon in the South Node of Aquarius mirrors the South Node in my natal chart–a strong message to me that I’m moving away from this cycle into the light of Leo; heart energy.

What is healing? I drew the King of Swords in Reverse. For me, this card in reverse brings to mind not speaking  your truth, being shut down, not being heard, keeping quiet. I see harnessing the  power of Leo to move forward more as a leader. I’m thinking it might be my time to shine. Leo, also my North Node as well as the North Node for this lunar eclipse is my path forward. This falls in my 3rd House of Communication. It’s time to speak up and communicate my thoughts and beliefs of my 9th House in Aquarius as the King of Swords (Air/Communication) would do.

What direction am I to go? How do I best utilize this eclipse energy to move forward?  The Hermit echoes the message of the eclipse to go within.  The answers are internal.

The Hermit is about looking within to find your own light; your own way. The Hermit has found the confidence to let his authentic self shine. He lights his own path.

I’m also mindfuld of how the Hermit looks to the other cards,  illuminating what is releasing and healing for me.

Look to the North Node of Leo in your chart. Where are you led to shine?

Can You Feel The Love? Full Moon Lunar Eclipse ~ August 7th, 2017

August 7, 2017 = 8+7+2+1+7=9 Endings/Release

The universe is clearly orchestrating change. The recent New Moon in Leo on July 23rd initiated the change by giving us the courage of the lion to stand up and be seen. This was Leo’s first call to be courageous and to step into our authentic self. Change takes courage. Leo helps move us toward our heart’s desires.

Now comes the Full Moon Partial Lunar Eclipse on August 7th in Aquarius. The energy of eclipses is long-lasting. Changes we make now will have a lingering impact. The Full Moon of Aquarius asks us to release what isn’t working for the collective.

The Sun shines in Leo and wants to be seen. It’s creative. It’s love. It’s heart. Combine this with Aquarian humanitarian energy and we’re called to act in love for the collective. We’re asked to move forward in not thinking just of our selves, but of all of mankind and the collective soul.

Aquarian Air energy fuels the Fire energy of Leo. A wondrous combination for positive change. Mars is right there with the Sun and very comfortable in Leo. Mars stokes the fire, begging us to take action. Look to where Leo and Aquarius fall in your chart to best see where you can make positive change.

Maybe your 1st and 7th houses of self and relationships are activated. Where can you make changes in your relationships? What’s best for the group? Or maybe it activates your 3rd and 9th houses and it’s about communicating a message to the collective. Wherever the area of life, Leo is giving you the courage to be heard.

On August 21st, we experience the Great American Eclipse in the United States with yet a second New Moon in Leo and more long-lasting eclipse energy. The Lion calls again.

Can you feel the love tonight?
The peace the evening brings
The world, for once, in perfect harmony
With all its living things

~  Elton John, The Lion King

Winter Solstice–Standing Still Sun.

December 21st–night of the standing still sun. The word Solstice is derived from the Latin word solstitium. Sun (SOL) stoppage (STITUM).Winter solstice marks the shortest day and longest night of the year, as if the sun has just stopped. One ancient definition of solstice is “standing still sun.”

Some refer to solstice as the rebirth of the sun. Many celebrate the winter solstice as a time to celebrate renewal, rebirth and gratitude for the coming light.

The solstice offers an opportunity to spend time reflecting inward and meditating on gratitude. Hold a ritual for letting go and set an intention for the coming year.

Air Signs: Aquarius-Gemini-Libra

This week we may notice the energy of the Tower; a fiery energy that often clears something away to make way for something new, better. When it strikes, it’s often a shock to the system–unexpected. We may feel the foundation has crumbled. Although this event may not happen to us personally, it may affect us nonetheless.

Regardless, when we find ourselves affected by the energy of the Tower and it seems as though this cycle will never end, it may be that a lesson hasn’t been fully learned. “Round and Round” challenges us to revisit a pattern with a new perspective to overcome the cycle.

When we feel like we never get ahead and negative cycles repeat themselves over and over, remember that this time we have a bird’s eye view. Although things appear to be falling apart, we stand above the tower. We have an opportunity to learn something and do something different and better this time.

“Lend A Hand” reminds us that sometimes the only way we can get past negative things happening in our own lives or the lives of people we care about is to remove the focus from ourselves and focus on others.

Where can we be of service to others? Where is there a struggle we might help alleviate? How can we empower others and lift up their spirit without just rescuing?

Water Signs:  Pisces-Cancer-Scorpio

This week’s energy is all about relationships. The Two of Cups is in reverse. Cups represent water and the fluidity of emotions. With these cups being upside down, we need to take a look at our relationships with friends, co-workers and partners. Is there something we may have said without thinking? Did we react too quickly?

“Speak With Love” reminds us that when we allow our egos to speak carelessly, we can really stir up the emotional waters of others. We need to remember that this vibration returns to its source with a vengeance. When this energy comes up, it’s time to become aware of the effect our words have on others. Are we creating fear or peace?  We are being called this week to take a look at the impact our words have on others.

“Blessed” comes up in the protection position reminding us to be humble. Blessings are received when we surrender to God/Spirit.

Earth Signs: Taurus-Virgo-Capricorn

Earth  signs may feel a little blah as if the Sun isn’t shining for us. We may lose sight that we are all connected and part of a divine plan. Earth signs are especially sensitive to the lack of sunshine. They may even experience Seasonal Affective Disorder, becoming a little depressed when sunshine is lacking.

But, when fisherman can’t go to sea, they stay home and repair their nets. “To The Sea” in the protection position reminds us that when things don’t seem to move forward, we should go with the flow. We need to stop resisting and relax and trust in divine timing. Everything is a cycle. The Sun will shine again.

Two oracle cards wanted to come out for the Earth  Signs. “Regeneration” tells us that we are in a cycle of rebirth. We may see new opportunities or second chances appear this week. Seeds that appeared dormant may show signs of growth. This week it may become apparent to us just how illusory death and endings really are.

We are also reminded this week to “Talk to God.” Quiet the ego and listen to God/Spirit. It’s only the ego that causes problems. Stop talking to ego and talk to God. This is where you will find answers.

Fire Signs: Aries-Leo-Sagittarius

Strength may be called upon this week. We may be struggling with our persona–the self we show to the world and the Spirit of who we really are. It takes strength to put ourselves out there, be vulnerable and become comfortable with our authentic self. E.L. Cummings wrote, “It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.”

However, opportunities are born out of authenticity. “Milk And Honey” asks us to trust that our needs will be met. This energy reflects a sweet time in our life.  This only happens when we are in our authentic zone. You may experience a taste of what you want this week and find it easier to show the world who you really are.

“Seek an Expert” if you feel you’ve reached a limit of your own expertise. Now that you’re becoming more comfortable with the real you, you may need some help or guidance on how you can put this plan into action. You may be contemplating going back to school, a different career path, etc. Don’t be afraid to ask for a little advice. Seek out mentors.

Hunter Moon~ October 15, 2016

hunter-moonproof

Hunters could easily spot animals such a wild boar, rabbits and deer which are nocturnal in nature, by the light of this bright moon. Thus, the “Hunter Moon.”

The Hunter Moon is the full moon directly following the Harvest Moon. How appropriate then to take a look at Little Red Tarot’s Full Moon Spread using  Leeza Robertson’s deck, “Animal Totem” for guidance during this upcoming Super Moon.

So, to the left of the Death Card in the center, we have (1) The Sun, (2) King of Wands in Reverse and (3)The Moon in reverse. All represent the waning moon.

The Sun reflects what we need to let go of–our egos? It asks us to meditate and realize all is connected.

The King of Wands in reverse reminds us to reclaim and keep our power, our enthusiasm, our passion.

Things yet to come is represented by the Moon in reverse. This asks us to to be cautious and realize that some things are not what they appear to be at first glance. In fact, we may not be able to see all things clearly in the moonlight. Use caution in the upcoming future.

To the far right we have the waxing moon–how the world affects us, what to give and what to receive.

The Devil in reverse reminds us to not get too caught up in worldly matters–matters of the flesh. We are in the world, but we don’t have to be of the world.

Judgment in the reverse position of what to give indicates an energy of forgiveness. Everyone is on their own path. It takes everyone working together to make it all work. Show compassion, mercy.

The Three of Swords indicates we should receive or allow to receive a new perspective or forward way of thinking. We should be open to looking at situations from other points of view.

Finally, what we are to learn, in the 7th position (center), is Death. We must learn to die of ourselves in order to become new. Ego must die away to make room for Spirit, the essence of who we really are.

Tomorrow, Tomorrow.

suncomposite.jpg

The universe has had a good laugh today! So, as some of you know, I’ve been working on shadow work using the tarot. Today my question is,

“What is my most obstructive limiting belief?”

I pull the Sun Card! I’m thinking, “Oh no! What can this card tell me?” The Sun card is probably one of the most favorable, positive cards in the deck. I’m laughing and thinking what can I possibly get out of this card that can show me my most obstructive limiting belief?

I start singing. That is happening a lot lately. Things are coming to me as songs. I start humming the Annie song, “Tomorrow, Tomorrow, dah, dah, dah,”

A light goes off in my head, it dawns on me (and yes, that was another synchronicity. I actually said the word “dawn” as I was recording my reading), the Sun Card is the perfect card to show me my most obstructive limiting belief!

Tomorrow. I’ll do it tomorrow. I’ll take care of that tomorrow. Tomorrow I’ll do better. It goes on and on. The Sun Card shed light on my limiting belief. How long have I been saying tomorrow? Years?

I just love how the universe communicates with us!
