Robert Wang’s “The Jungian Tarot”

  1. How does the energy of Aries assist us?  Aries is the initiator. The 2 of Cups in Reverse asks that we take control of our emotions. Take a look at partnerships or any relationships  that are less than desirable. What relationships are unfulfilling? Where are we lacking emotionally? Aries wants us to do something about it.
  2. How do we do this? The 4 of Wands in Reverse assists us by lighting a fire, forcing us us to take action. The fiery energy of Aries gives us motivation to stand up. If we don’t expend this energy, the fire will internalize and we’ll burn out. Aries demands release; to take action. Mars, Aries ruler, gives us  the strength to power through.
  3. How can I be courageous?  Mars, The God Of War, shows us how to be a leader. The Emperor in Reverse asks us to stand up. Wherever we have remained quiet, Mars wants us to come forward and  speak up; be a leader. This energy enables us to find the courage to stand up for ourselves, for what is right and good.
  4. How can this new moon in Aries help me grow? The Lovers in Reverse wants us to took at the relationship we have with ourselves. How can we have good relationships with others, whether personal or professional or within our families, if we’re not feeling good on the inside. What negative thinking can we release?
  5. How does Aries help us with personal growth? The Wheel of Fortune in Reverse tells us that now is the time to look after ourselves. We’ve expended a lot of energy taking care of others. It’s our time now. Focus on self-care.

It’s interesting to note that all of these cards are in reverse, indicating an overall theme to look within and focus on self; the “I AM” energy of Aries.

Spring Forward!

Full Moon in Virgo March 12, 2017

fullmooninvirgoproof

Virgo is practical and self-reliant.

Purify and transform the pain.

The full moon in Virgo challenges us to look at what’s messy in our lives. Virgo loves organization and wants to clean things up. What can we clear away and how can the present Virgo energy help us do that? What are we making room for? Virgo asks, “What will we leave behind that really matters, that is useful?”

full show of cards

  1. What Clutters Our Slate? 10 OF SWORDS. This card, located in the middle of the top row, shows us that the pain we’ve been holding on to needs to go. Sometimes we cling to pain even when logically we know we should live in the present, but the pain has been around for so long it’s become familiar. This Full Moon in Virgo says it’s time to let it go. Whether we feel wronged, stabbed in the back, rejected–whatever the pain, the ugliness of it clutters our life and we need to let it go.
  2. What Shadow Issue Do We Need To Release? JUSTICE. This card is located directly below the 10 of Swords. Haven’t we suffered enough? Has holding on to the pain and dwelling on paybacks or revenge served to justify our pain?  Justice is karmic in that what goes around, comes around. We don’t have to be jury or judge. Holding on to getting “Justice” for our pain needs to be released. Dwelling on it only holds us back and keeps us stuck in the pain.
  3. How Do We Clean The Slate? EIGHT OF PENTACLES. This card, located in the upper left corner is how we clean the slate. We forge ahead and through hard work, determination, blood, sweat and tears, we transform the pain into something new. Hard work and determination purifies the soul.  The energy of Virgo reminds us that through the fire, we receive purification.
  4. What Are We Making Room For? 9 OF CUPS. This card, located on the upper right corner, is wish fulfillment. Blessings. Through releasing our pain and forging ahead, we are making room for happiness, peace, blessings and tranquility. If we had remained stuck in our pain, we wouldn’t be able to receive the blessings.
  5. How Will this Make Us More Independent? 4 OF PENTACLES.  Located directly below the 9 of Cups, we learn that we can take care of ourself. The blessings of the cups card has shown us that no matter what is thrown at us, we can stand on our own feet. We’re solid and have a strong foundation. We can be relied upon. We have a sense of our own value. Virgo shows us self-reliance which brings independence.
  6. What Legacy Will We Leave Behind? 3 OF PENTACLES. Located in the lower left hand corner, directly below the 8 of Pentacles is the 3 of Pentacles. This card shows us that through our determination and hard work, releasing the pain and anger, we have the courage to move ahead and develop our own worth, our own life. We find joy and creativity in who we are and what we do. We’ve made our own way and left the legacy of independence, of determination and perseverance; the legacy of forging ahead through pain and coming out on the other side, self reliant.

Pisces New Moon–Spiritual Growth

 Spiritual Growth!

What an exciting time! New moons are always an opportunity to release what’s not working for us, what holds us back and keeps us down. Not only do we have a New Moon Februay 26, 2017 in Pisces but it also follows a Solar Eclipse in Pisces.

So let’s start with the Solar Eclipse in Pisces. Solar eclipses occur when the moon blocks the sun and dims the sun’s light. The energy of the sun (our conscious) is temporarily blocked, revealing our subconscious (moon) energy. This Solar Eclipse in Pisces offers an opportunity to examine emotions and feelings that run deep. It can be scary diving into the unknown, but we can’t grow unless we face our fears and insecurities. This Pisces Solar Eclipse can help reveal anything below the surface that prevents us from flowing in our authentic rhythym.

NEW MOON IN PISCES—Now that we’ve visited our subconscious , we can leave all that murky dark part of ourselves behind and move forward with spiritual growth aided by the new moon energy of Pisces on the 26th. We may find ourselves changing what we thought we wanted, our spiritual beliefs, or what we thought we knew. At the least, we may find ourselves open to other viewpoints. More and more of the big picture is revealed.

What can we leave behind? How can this new moon in Pisces propel us forward into oneness? Let’s look at the Tarot for collective insight.

How Can The Energy of Pisces Increase Our Awareness?

Through the energy of the Tower, Pisces asks us to look at the core of our being. Where are we vulnerable? What weaknesses, negative behaviors, pain, animosities are we holding onto that cracks our foundation? We have to expose anything  below the surface, our weaknesses or shadow self, before we can expect to stand firm and grow. Ultimately, the energy of the Tower serves to purify by removing the old in order to build something new.

What Growth Can We Expect?

With the Page of Swords, growth comes in looking at things with a new perspective. When viewing things from higher ground, we can see the whole picture instead of what is right in front of us. This energy allows us to to see that what we once thought might not have been true or the only truth. The caterpillar is in fact a beautiful butterfly.

What Can We Release?

The Moon in reverse asks us to look deep within and embrace anything negative or self defeating hidden away in our subconscious. Expect heightened psychic and intuitive abilities with the New Moon in Pisces (note the Pisces symbol in the card). The awareness the energy of the Moon brings can help illuminate what we need to release. What can be felt can’t always be seen. The Pisces New Moon helps reveal what needs to be released.

How Can Neptune Navigate Us During This New Moon Cycle?

Neptune, the ruler of Pisces show us spiritual enlightenment but can also bring confusion and disillusionment. While the air surrounding the Alchemist is charged with a sensation of risk and/or discovery, the Alchemist reminds us to balance, refine and transform our spiritual development. The Alchemist knows that risk also carries the promise of possibility. We can be struck down or we can receive a flash of wisdom. The Alchemist reminds us to find the right combination for balance.

Advice From The Universe?

The Queen of Pentacles in Reverse reminds us that this new moon cycle is a time for self-growth. We are asked to look within. What can we release within ourselves to move forward with our own spiritual growth? While growth may come slow and appear dormant, growth is steady and long lasting. We are on a new path toward collective enlightenment. Growth begins with us.

Solar and Lunar Eclipses-What are the differences? We’ve got two in February along with a special offer.

February 2017 brings two eclipses–a lunar eclipse on February 10th and a solar eclipse on February 26th. What do they mean?

Lunar Eclipses can only happen with a full moon. The moon appears slightly orange or red as the earth passes between the moon and the sun and obscures all or part of the moon. While the affects of both eclipses can last for months, lunar eclipses tend to be softer and happen at night.

Lunar eclipses are a good time to let go of the past. Let go of any old fears, habits, feelings or negative situations that hold us back. It’s a time to move forward. February brings us this opportunity on the 10th with the full moon.

Solar eclipses occur during the day at the time of a new moon. This new moon passes between the earth and the sun, blocking all or part of the sun. Solar eclipses give us an opportunity to take care of unfinished personal business and really get honest with ourselves. With the new moon solar eclipse, it’s a time to plant seeds for the future.

While both eclipses can spur major personal growth that may linger for as long as six months, solar eclipses tend to be more intense with long lasting effects.

Full Moon in Cancer January 12, 2017.

Now would be a good time to be the “Observer” as this full moon on January 12 showers us with the Cancer energy of feelings, emotions, relationships, family, creativity and intuition.

For some, full moons in and of themselves are intense. However, this full moon also brings  a Grand Cross in the Cardinal signs of Capricorn, Aries, Libra and Cancer. These signs more than others, may feel an intense need for change.

Grand Crosses pull us in all sorts of directions. We may feel as if we are being stretched on a cross from all sides. Compromise may be difficult. The feelings being brought to the surface with the full moon in Cancer is also forcing us to take a look at what or where we need to make changes. However, sit with these feelings for a couple of days before taking action and making any life altering changes.

People that go with the flow and welcome change will love this energy. Those that like the status quo will not.

New Moon in Capricorn December 29, 2016

A new moon in Capricorn arrives just in time to set new goals and intentions for 2017. This new moon occurs on December 29, 2016 and brings with it the energies of

STABILITY.   BALANCE.   WISDOM.   AMBITION.

But the flip side of that is Capricorn’s shadow side  which can bring the energies of

PESSIMISIM.   STUBBORNESS.   DETACHMENT.   MOODINESS.

The key is to be aware of the duality and foster the energies to move in the direction you want to go.

Capricorn rules the 10th House governing Career and Social Status and this earthy energy of Capricorn calls us to create a new, grounded plan for the year ahead. The old Sea Goat asks us to develop procedures, apply discipline and create goals. What steps can we take to achieve these goals.

This New Moon in Capricorn Reading gives insight as to how we can harness the energy of Capricorn to embrace the energy for the period running from December 29, 2016 through January 26, 2017. What can we leave behind from 2016, what goals can we set and what energy is available to assist us in achieving these goals?

Every new year brings opportunity to set new intentions for the change we want to see in ourselves, but 2017 is different. After completing a nine year cycle with 2016, 2017 brings in a new cycle, 2+0+1+7=10=1. It’s like an extra special do over.

Take time to really think about your intentions and what you want to achieve beginning in 2017. Take advantage of the first year of a new 9 year cycle.
